  • Jose is a black and grey tattoo artist. He primarily focuses on tattooing custom freehand designs in collaboration with his clientele, making each design individual and unique.

  • A deposit is required to begin/schedule your project consultation and first session date (see deposit policy).

  • Jose's projects require multiple sessions. Number of sessions can vary based on factors such as: canvas size (backpiece, leg sleeve, half sleeve, etc.), size of element(s), background, detail of element(s) /background, etc. During your consultation, Jose will discuss with you you an estimated number of sessions to achieve your desired project design.

  • Every new project with Jose requires a minimum of one consultation. Consultations are typically scheduled Mon-Fri 8-9:00pm CST.  During your consultation, Jose will review design ideas and discuss an estimated number of sessions for your desired piece. Consultations are to be done virtually, via Zoom.

  • Jose is booked from anywhere between 2 - 4 months in advance.  If your project requires multiple session(s), we advise that you schedule your project accordingly.

  • All appointments and ideas for your tattoo must be open to Jose's artistic freedom. When working with Jose, he strongly recommends that you allow him to choose the proper reference images. Jose takes great time and consideration in choosing the right reference photo. He will consult with you on the theme of your tattoo, the placement and the reference image which will all lead to the highly realistic detailed tattoo you desire.

  • Rate information will be sent via email after project approval.

  • Please note that Jose cannot accept all submissions. In order to help you decide if your project is a good fit for both you and Jose, please read the following parameters:

Clients choose the following options for projects with JPJ:

  • Black & Grey Realism -or-
  • Color Realism (select projects only)

1. Size of Project (ex: half sleeve, sleeve, back piece, chest, etc.)

  • Informing your artist of the overall size of your project will allow him to design / map out the one of a kind custom freehand piece you are looking to achieve.

2. Placement (ex: right arm; inner/outer bicep, right inner/outer forearm, chest, etc.)

  • Where on your body would you like your project?

3. Subject matter & Theme (ex. skull, flower, bird, etc)  (ex: dark, edgy, soft, wildlife, etc.)

  • By choosing your subject matter/element(s) to include in your project you will provide Jose with a guideline for him to design/complete your project.

  • Please keep in mind that Jose is open to completing a collaborative piece with his clientele, but overall will recommend best photo references, placement and size of elements to ensure detail and subject matter can be seen.

  • Projects Require Multiple Sessions to complete. Schedule follow up sessions to give your piece an opportunity to heal. Typically, follow up sessions are the perfect opportunity to add dark tones / white highlights and details throughout to complete your project to his design standards.  These sessions are necessary to do as a follow up to ensure the piece heals completely and pigments can be saturated to darkest tones / brightest whites.
