Tips and Tricks with JPJ : Proportion

What’s going on guys ?! Today I wanted to go over Proportion . Sometimes when I use a stencil or a reference picture, I like to just build and free hand off of that . So with this particular piece, I am doing an angel but I am drawing in some wings off the reference photo of the girl, so I want to make sure that the wings are proportionate to her body . First, I draw some really light lines with a light green sharpie (honestly any light color works) just to draw out the shapes and feel out the flow . Then I come back in with a darker marker and make some more bold lines . Defining the wings more and adding more details, as well as adding my own textures to it from there as I’m tattooing, but I like to define some key lines .
